  • Grackles - Bullies of the Feeder

    I love birds.
I like bird watching. That is why I invested in a bird feeder.
It is nice watching the birds mill about while hanging at the bird feeder.
Except when they are all Grackles.  A flock of these birds is more like a swarm! They take over everything, pushing out the friendlier birds of the feeder.
Sometimes, you will find a few Red-Winged Blackbirds and Brown-headed Cowbirds in the mix... Brown-headed Cowbirds are particularly annoying because they will knock the eggs of another bird out of that birds nest and lay it's own eggs...leaving the unsuspecting nest owner to hatch it's eggs...lazy bastard birds!! Raise your own chicks, damn it! So I get concerned when I see them around my feeder.

Here is some video I shot from my bathroom window...
you can't see the birds very well because I have a junky camera...but you get the idea

  • Just one of those days...

Yup, it has just been one of those days.
I didn't get a lot of anything done.
I've been tired and I had a migraine.
Even though the pain is gone, I still find light and sound to be irritating now.
I slept most of the day.  I needed to get up to eat or else I would be very weak.
I could go back to bed right now.
I probably need more iron.I better take two tablets right now!!

just a random painting. I made this back at the beginning of February.
I do need to paint more, I think...

  • What snow???

So, the precipitation we were to receive didn't really pan out.
We have freezing rain, but no snow.
That means no cool pictures and no Eastern Towhee.
In order for an Eastern Towhee to come to my birdfeeding station it
has to be snowing with snow already on the ground.

But the mailman brought me something today that made my day:

    Roll::fangirl-gasm::Roll
Yes, pages and pages and pages of Orange Range goodness...meticulously removed from various sources.
Oh yesh, the bidding war for these items were fierce. I didn't back down and I won it!! HAHAHAAA...
What I am going to do with all this you ask...I dun know...

  • The Candy Man Can!

Yes, I went to run errands today.
I got a photo done...went to the store and found these gems:

The UPS man brought me something nice today...
    9" of deliciousness...

The air was crisp today..a cold, clear day:

  • Naughty, naughty..

It really isn't easy at all...

but I decide to try on my other Orange Range tee..

The body fits a little like a baby doll but the arms are really roomy..
I can't figure out how they made this shirt without seams anywhere on the torso...

I ran some errands, went by 5 Below again and got a few more tshirts and some candy!!
I'll post pictures of those later. I am kind a looking forward to the precipitation that is supposed to blow through tonight.
Perhaps I can get some interesting photos.
I must remember to fill the birdfeeder before it gets dark..

  • More pictures...

    Here are some more photos...
I don't know, I am just bored right now.
I need to dye my pants (ya, that was raaannnddooommm).

    So here is barn photo:

I am taking tshirt pics now...I was inspired after my self photo with the Orange Range tshirt on.
This one is funny and pink:

and I love these phone and goodluck charms...

    and tons of origami paper..

  • All The Puffiness in the World!!!

What wondrous clouds we have had the past few days...all puffy and  soft looking.
Like the prettiest cotton balls in the world

Last night..well yesterday in general, was  hellish day of commuting.
A truck overturned on the road, so I had to take the long way to and from my afternoon class.
These photos are from the ride home (I too concerned with getting to work on time on the way there)

And now for a little video with  my favorite song:

  • But is it art....

    Oh my...
My very first piece of official Orange Range clothing:

Yes, I got the white tshirt and the black tshirt.
I am so excited! I will be getting a few more Orange Range stuff soon.
Those items will be from YHJ Auctions.

I love birds and enjoy birdwatching...especially when they hang outside my window

How about me playing in Photoshop.
I know I should have posted this on Valentine's Day but I was just too tired.
The reality of me actually moving to Japan is finally setting in..all that has to be done, being so far from my family, learning the language.
Don't get me wrong, I am welcoming this opportunity and looking forward to it. I want this. I need this.
    Right, back to my photos...

I think I will post these on my art blog too...

  • The Wacky World of Me...

    I am wacky....very much so.
Here are some photos from when my sister and I were in D.C. to do some shopping and visit the Health and Fitness Expo...

This is one of me and the National's Mascot

Then we decided to visit my favorite shop, but it wasn't open just yet so we decided to take some pictures

I haven't taken any cloud photos the past couple of days, it has been overcast and rainy.
    Tonight we had ice issues...

I don't know if I posted this here or not but I am moving to Japan in April.
I am very excited but nervous because I am still learning the language. I hope to be somewhat functional by the time I leave...

  • A Windry Wonderland

This weekend has been really windy.
We lost power for period of time this afternoon.
But let us go back to yesterday and the wonderful sky:

This morning I happened to look out the front door and saw this:

Then I looked up the street and saw THIS:

Once again the sky was ablaze...It was amazing
